Episode 28: The Nightmare Ends Part One

April 01, 2016  /  Dawn Humphrey

It's time. Jen and Dawn have reached the end of the Nightmare canon and all that's left is Freddy's Dead and Freddy vs. Jason.* The Women In Caskets have come a long way and it's time to end it all.

With detours into Twin Peaks, John Waters, Looney Tunes and more cameos than you can shake a stick at, along with ruining Jen's favorite scene and Dawn's attempts to apply logic to a horror movie, they pick at the bones of Freddy Krueger. There's... not a lot there. Which is a damn shame.

This episode is the first part of a two-parter that covers Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason.

Nightmare 2 was covered in Episode 11.
Nightmares 1 and 3 were covered in Episode 24 and Episode 25.
Nightmares 4 and 5 were covered in Episode 26 and Episode 27.

"I'm Awake Now" by The Goo Goo Dolls
"Why Was I Born" by Iggy Pop

*Yes, we know Wes Craven's New Nightmare is a thing, but it's not generally considered part of "official" canon and it's getting it's own episode. Be patient, horror fans. We got your back.
